Dr O’Keefe has expertise in minimally invasive joint replacement of the shoulder, hip and knee. This includes specialized shoulder replacement including reverse shoulder replacement, minimally invasive hip replacement including direct anterior hip replacement (muscle sparing) as well as minimally invasive partial and complete knee replacement.
Sports injury care includes fractures, shoulder injuries including arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, labral repair and biceps injuries. Knee care includes arthroscopic ACL reconstruction, meniscus surgery and cartilage restoration surgery.

Dr. Patrick F. O'Keefe
Dr O’Keefe uses the most modern techniques to manage arthritic conditions of the joints to maximize function and comfort prior to surgical treatment and to prolong the life of the native joint. These treatments include anti-inflammatories, bracing, physical therapy as well as joint injections of cortisone and hyaluronic acid (Synvisc, Orthovisc, Gel One, Euflexxa). In addition, biologic treatment involving PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injection can also be an option beyond traditional injection options.
In addition to his comprehensive orthopedic practice, Dr. O’Keefe has served many administrative and leadership roles at Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) including board appointments both at the regional and TCO level. Dr. O’Keefe currently serves on the board for the Blaine Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Dr. O’Keefe’s practice philosophy is to maximize quality of life for his patients. This involves treating every patient as an individual, tailoring treatments to minimize pain and restore function to get people back to the activities they love with minimal down time.
